False alarm
It wasn't Norwalk after all - it was this:
Cryptosporidium parvum
The centre for disease control describes the symptoms:
"The most common symptom of cryptosporidiosis is watery diarrhea. Other symptoms include:
* Dehydration
* Weight loss
* Stomach cramps or pain
* Fever
* Nausea
* Vomiting
In persons with healthy immune systems, symptoms usually last about 1 to 2 weeks. The symptoms may go in cycles in which you may seem to get better for a few days, then feel worse again before the illness ends."
This was the worst part - because whenever I thought I was better... WHAM! back to the beginning (see top of symptoms)
Where did I get this disease that has only infected hundreds of people in the past few years (this was the first case my doctor had seen!)?
lets see if we can connect the dots...
racing through newly manured farmer's fields, rainy wet day...
I'd also like to publicly acknowledge this guy:
for nursing me back to health, feeding me soup, and staying up late with me in the hospital so that I didn't die. Malcolm RULES!!!
SHOES OF THE POST
I'm in the market for some white summer shoes. These are cute (fly london again!)

Yay, you're not going to die! Can you Xpress post me that package from God? ;-) Congrats on getting a rare infection! That's quite exciting. Shoes: cute shape, etc., but the bug on the strap creeps me out.
